As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will address sophisticated topics that craft how we maintain and operate our facilities and generate ideas that push team members and senior leaders to expand the boundaries of innovation and technology. With your technical expertise, you will ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).

Responsibilities
Regularly inspect and supervise critical equipment and respond to irregular or malfunctioning conditions.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and without disruption to the business.
Follow established procedures for assigned activities
Collaborate cross functionally with teams as well as vendors and suppliers to achieve goals.
Follow all federal, state, and local regulations for operations and work safety.
Use appropriate PPE such as ARC Flash suits and/or coverall in a variety of environments.
Note: Critical Facilities Technicians work 8, 10 or 12 hours per day on a rotating shift schedule including graveyard, weekend and holiday shifts and may work overtime depending on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or fire life safety systems
- Ability to read and interpret fire system, electrical system, and mechanical system drawings
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and lift as required, on a continuous basis, with items that can weigh up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work extended hours within a Data Center Environment and typically within a heat range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit while following OSHA driven work rest cycles
- Ability to climb and use a ladder vary

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to perform practical applications of, preventative and corrective maintenance for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or other infrastructure systems
- Understanding of large scale mechanical and electrical systems
- EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA Regulations that pertain to data centers
- Knowledge of safety procedures, established techniques, and equipment
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to take initiative with minimal direction
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments
- Relevant experience using computers and software tools
