DATA CENTER ANALYST 4

What success looks like in this role:

  • Monitors and operates datacenter equipment according to plan and/or SLA
  • Assists with System Installation and Decommission and break/fix processes
  • Provides review of documentation for Client services, operators and Client support staff
  • Performs Incident investigation, reporting and recommendations
  • Takes part in disaster recovery projects
  • Supports overall Data Center capacity design, planning and tracking
  • Supports Data Cabling; Network, SAN, KVM or remote out of band management systems, including managing cabling contractors
  • Supports Power Circuits and Cooling to maximize efficiency, interface with data center facilities
  • Supports Media Services Management with a matrix relationship with Storage Group
  • Supports change and request management for Data Center Facility changes and maintenance
  • Maintains forms, logs, checklists, setup instructions and general documentation
  • Supports Installation of equipment on the Data Center floor, requesting and oversight of power, network, SAN and KVM connections
  • Supports asset tracking, configuration management, physical equipment locations and tracking all connections
  • Receives shipments for all inbound equipment for SLC Data Center
  • Prepares for asset disposal by performing manual labor to move
  • Completes tickets to meet or exceed the SLA requirements. Performs service request and change request processing
  • Provides support for hardware maintenance, break-fix issues, and overall consulting for various operational issues
  • Supports data center administration and control services including physical security and infrastructure set-up
  • Operates as a backup for miscellaneous break-fix support/configuration for servers and other devices

Other Responsibilities:

  • Support audits, providing evidence of Datacenter reports, controls, documentation, processes, procedures (ISO Certification Compliance, SAS70, SOX, etc.)

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • HS degree or equivalent and 1 years of experience in IT, technical support and Data Center Operations including Rack, stack, and server provisioning
  • Cable management (copper cable termination / understanding of fiber optic cabling)
  • Facilities planning – space, power, and cooling
  • A+ and N+ Certifications, preferred
  • MCSA/MCSE, preferred
  • Experience in enterprise backup solutions, preferred
  • Fluent English and Spanish languages
