As a Data Center Mechanical SME, you will support the design, and take ownership of the implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems instrumental to our data center's cooling and water treatment infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring optimal operating efficiency and reliability of our critical IT environments.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or equivalent data center on the job training or similar
- Practical experience with mechanical systems such as cooling technologies, water treatment equipment, pumps, motors, or other used in data center environments or similar
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and lift as required, on a continuous basis, with items that can weigh up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work extended hours within a Data Center Environment and typically within a heat range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit while following OSHA driven work rest cycles.
- Ability to climb and use a ladder varying in types from A-Frame to extension ladders at various heights.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Applied knowledge and skills earned from a vocational school in mechanical engineering or equivalent trade to design, build and maintain equipment, making valuable contributions to organizational goals.
- 5+ years of practical field experience in mechanical engineering in a data center or related field.
- Experience in designing and implementing mechanical systems for large-scale high-density data centers.
- Understanding of water treatment, including chemical dosing, filtration, testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with CFD simulation toolkits like ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM
- Knowledge of software like AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace 3D, and Weil-McLain Water Treatment Software.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong technical writing and presentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
